About FLX Soaps

Our family farm is the heart of FLX Soaps. We grow sweet corn, raise beef cows, and work the land every day. It’s also where I render tallow in small batches to create soaps that are rich, nourishing, and sustainable. There’s something so rewarding about turning something that wasn't being utilized into products that are practical and meaningful.

When it comes to my products, quality and safety are non-negotiable. I use only phthalate-free fragrances and follow strict IFRA (International Fragrance Association) standards to ensure that everything I make is safe, responsibly crafted, and something you can feel good about using in your home.

Hi, I’m Jen—soap maker, writer, farmer, and a proud lifelong resident of the Finger Lakes.

When I’m not working on the farm or making soap and wax melts, I’m usually diving into local history or writing. I’m on the board for Historic Palmyra, helping preserve the stories that make our area unique. I also write for Life in the Finger Lakes magazine, sharing simple living DIYs that inspire readers to connect with their homes, their creativity, and the Finger Lakes.

I also run a blog called Home in the Finger Lakes, where I talk about simple living, gardening, cooking, and sometimes just life in general. It’s my way of connecting with people who love the Finger Lakes as much as I do.
